The Arts, Theater, and Music (ATM) Fund
The Arts, Theater, and Music (ATM) Fund supports visual and performing arts programs organized to take place in conjunction with the ASECS Annual Meeting.
ASECS members interested in organizing an event or session may apply to the Program Committee for grants of up to $5,000. The application should include a letter describing the proposed event and how it will enrich the Annual Meeting; scheduling, staff or logistical requirements; and a budget. The deadline for applying is October 1. Applications should be sent to asecsoffice@gmail.com.
ATM-funded events must be open to all Annual Meeting registrants. Grants may be used to cover costs such as equipment or venue rental, supplies, transportation or shipping, or artist fees. Funds may not be used to pay honoraria to members of ASECS. Events organized offsite must be accessible. Events may take place in the evenings or during breakout sessions; they must take place no earlier than the afternoon before the Annual Meeting begins and no later than the afternoon after the Meeting ends.
In keeping with ASECS’s commitment to disciplinary diversity, the Program Committee will give preference to proposals that present arts, languages, cultures or disciplines that have not recently received ATM grants. The Program Committee may award multiple grants (for a combined total of $5,000) or may offer partial funding.
The ATM Fund is supported by generous donations from ASECS members.
