ASECS is exploring ways to improve the benefits of membership in the Society, including subscriptions to online resources that many of our members may not be able to access at present. The first resource we are considering is Eighteenth-Century Collections Online (ECCO). If ECCO proves popular with the membership and financially feasible for the Society, we will consider other subscriptions, including the monograph series Oxford University Studies in the Enlightenment, Adam Matthews Digital, or the Burney Newspapers Collection.

ECCO is a full-text database of over 200,000 titles published in the United Kingdom in English and other major European languages from 1701-1800. While the majority of the texts are in English, the collection also contains the following number of works in other languages:

· French – 5622

· Latin – 5151

· Welsh – 552

· Italian – 507

· German – 297

In order to help us make a decision about ECCO that will be in the best interest of our members, please complete the following survey located here: https://forms.gle/WjdDG9fvek5t37Lx5. It should take no more than three minutes.
