Deadline extended #ASECS2023 + updates
Oct. 3, 2022
Dear colleagues,
Given the impact of Hurricane Ian on colleagues’ lives on the East Coast, we have decided to extend the deadline for those sessions in need of submissions to Monday, Oct. 24, 2022 11:59pm ET.
· General updates:
o Thank you to all who have submitted! I am still working through the submissions that have come in this weekend. Please be patient as I sort recent abstracts into the correct folders for chairs, and determine which sessions need submissions still (not all do).
o I’ll try and get out an updated list of those sessions by mid-week.
o Questions about a session? Contact the chair! Their emails are included in the list of session descriptions.
o If you have the time to get an abstract written soon, please do – it helps us with organization. But do take the extra time if you need to prioritize other tasks!
o Don’t forget that you’ll need to be a member to present at our annual conference. You can check on the state of your membership on your member profile and renew here, as well as updating email addresses and other member information: ASECS Membership
· Chairs:
o If you have not yet received a link to a folder with submissions, it is either because you do not yet have submissions or because I am still working through the many that came in over the weekend.
o Remember to tag @asecsoffice on Twitter and hashtag #ASECS2022 for social media reminders about your sessions so that I can share/retweet them. If you aren’t on social media, I am happy to post them for you. Just send me the session number and title to post!
The submissions look fantastic. Your energy and excitement about your work shine through even in a brief abstract! I’m looking forward to seeing you all in St. Louis.
As always, I’m an email, phone call, or Zoom call away. Give me a bit of extra time to respond over the next couple days, but don’t hesitate to reach out.
Be well and stay safe, everyone.
Benita
