Please join us for our SECFS conversations online series showcasing recent books about eighteenth-

century France. 


At our meeting on Monday, December 6 at 3pm EST, Barbara Abrams (Suffolk University), Mira

Morgenstern (CCNY/CUNY), and Karen Sullivan (Queens College/CUNY) will discuss their new book,

Reframing Rousseau’s Lévite d’Ephraïm: The Hebrew Bible, Hospitality, and Modern Identity, published

in the Oxford University Studies in the Enlightenment Series from Liverpool University Press, 2021. After

their conversation, there will be time for further questions from the audience.
